Uncertain Times

KIN in downtown Boise

In the time of COVID, the days of the week blur together, so to the hours of each day. The future feels opaque and unknown, and the present is only punctuated by unpredictable alarms.

Uncertain Times explores the social and societal deconstruction of time during this unique age. In the tradition of Duchampian readymades, but further reduced to a Heideggerian thing, a deconstructed metronome wall clock functions autonomously. It accentuates unspecified lengths of time with a single bell alarm, begging the importance and meaning of moments, and the passage of time itself.
